The Top 21 Ways To Reduce Pain At Home!

The most asked question clients have when starting their health journey is “Is there anything I can do at home?” The answer, “100% yes”.

Often clients expect us to tell them a new never before seen to the NHS exercise that resolves pain in 5 minutes. 

When in reality this isn't the case. If it was the case lower back pain wouldn't be the 3rd most frequent complaint within the NHS. Waiting lists for surgery wouldn't be a thing nor would the 15 thousand pound surgery itself. Drug companies would be on their knees and the world would be a much much better place. 

Unfortunately no amount of positive affirmation is going to change that societal normal any time soon (although that won't stop me from trying). 

Instead I have compiled a list of all things a client can and should be doing at home to ensure their health journey runs as smoothly and is as beneficial as possible; 

  1. Sleep 8 hours per night
  2. Take daily supplements e.g Multivitamins, Vit D3, Collagen, B12, Omega 3, ZMAs, Digestive Enzymes, Gut Bio, Apple Cider Vinegar, Electrolytes the list goes on
  3. Reduce sugar, lactose and alcohol intake 
  4. Meditate
  5. Listen to specific frequency sounds
  6. Affirmate 
  7. Set and measure goals daily 
  8. Breathwork
  9. Walk daily
  10.  Grounding
  11. Stretching 
  12.  Vagal tone exercises 
  13.  Counseling 
  14.  See a functional health practitioner 
  15.  Maintain a healthy weight 
  16.  Have a good social life/ interactions
  17.  Build healthy relationships 
  18.  Yoga 
  19.  Drink plenty of water 
  20.  Engage in relaxing hobbies
  21.  Cultivate a sense of happiness and fulfillment 

The list could literally go on forever.

The key take home message is this; 

“There is no one exercise anybody could show you that will benefit you as much as doing any number of these things on this list.”

Don’t let societal norms of doing this exercise 3 times for 10-15 reps morning, noon and night limit your potential for optimal health. 

Very little or any of the above mentioned list will be unknown to you. But those around you and in life who are working towards their optimal health will be doing most of the mentioned habits above.
