If you're anything like me, then you're very good at procrastinating! So good in fact that I'm writing this blog at 9pm on a Sunday because I've been putting it off all week! But I wanted to share some tips I use to make things easier and stay on track

  1. Limiting social media

So many of us waste so much time aimlessly scrolling through social media, and it was one of my biggest distractions. I struggled to be strict with myself, and in the end found that the only way I could not use social media, was to delete apps from my phone! During the week I uninstall all social media apps so I can't be distracted, and reinstall them at the weekend when I have free time. It's made a huge difference to my productivity, and I forgot to reinstall the apps sometimes too!

  1. Make a list

The best way for me to stay on track is to write down everything I need to do. Having it written down means I can focus completely on whatever task I'm doing at the time, because I don't need to be thinking about everything else. It's also a good way to monitor progress too.

  1. Prioritise

Do the big things first. I don't mean the things that will take the longest, but the things that are most important. They're often the ones we try and put off the most. By getting the important tasks out of the way, it takes some of the pressure off and the rest of the tasks become easier. It also means that if you don't manage to get everything done it doesn't matter, because if you've prioritised correctly then the important tasks should be finished, and it's the less meaningful ones that aren't.
