Lee had struggled for years with upper back and shoulder pain, carrying a lot of stress and tension in that area that was negatively affecting his life, and his wife Amanda saw our competition and encouraged him to enter, so he was our lucky winner. Time constraints have always been Lee's biggest barrier to sorting his back pain, but this has been a genuinely huge help to make him take that first step and start working on himself.

As one of our members, Kim is continuing to see steady progress as her body adapts, since muscle tissue takes time to change, which is why our myofascial team focuses on restoring length and improving mobility where it's needed most. Since starting, she's gained an impressive 12cm of upper-body range, helping her shoulders move with greater ease. She has several personal goals she's working toward, including getting back to playing squash with her husband, and each improvement brings her closer. Kim now has much better balance and more equal muscle activation, with her weight distribution reduced to just a 0.5kg difference, down from 11.2kg on her right side, and this even loading, combined with her increased upper-body flexibility, will support smoother, more controlled movements on the court. Long-term care plays a key role in progress like this, as the body, and especially muscle tissue, needs time to adjust, rebuild, lengthen, and form new movement patterns, so meaningful changes develop gradually rather than overnight. Consistency is what leads to lasting results.

Kevin, a builder, came to us after dealing with on-and-off low back pain for nearly 10 years, and one day at work while using tools, his back "went," with pain reaching 7/10 at its worst, along with recent right-sided sciatica, which prompted him to seek care. Now, well into his care plan, Kevin reports his back pain has reduced to occasional stiffness, with many completely pain-free days, allowing him to focus on renovating a property and working for himself in a physically demanding role, while also feeling comfortable mountain biking and even cycling to work at times. Functionally, his movement has improved significantly, he's now just 3cm from touching the floor, compared to 15cm when he first came in, and his weight loading is far more even, with only a 5.5kg difference on his right side, down from 13.5kg. There's still work to do as we continue through his plan, including addressing right elbow pain that's also moving in a positive direction. Kevin's progress highlights that meaningful, long-term change doesn't happen overnight, but through consistent care that supports the body as a whole, retrains the brain, and optimises nervous system function.

Kath first found us at the Leek show, and after having her posture picture taken then, she knew she needed to act, so she came in for her initial consultation and has been working with us since to help resolve her lower back, knee, and shoulder pain. She's now back to being able to do six-mile dog walks along the canal, as well as her usual work and activities without issue, and Kath has chosen to continue working with us to fine-tune the rest of her body, and work to prevent future issues happening.
