How to know what to do if you want to live a healthier lifestyle

Knowing how to live a healthier lifestyle may seem common sense to some but for others as alien as life on another planet.

 

Depending on lifestyle growing up which is mostly determined by your parents or loved ones you may have healthier habits deeply instilled or may not. 

 

To help those who don't know where to start when it comes to “being healthier” I have written you this blog with an amazing exercise to do below, which will help you to “identify the actions” that make up a healthier lifestyle.

 

I would like you to make a list. In this list I want you to write down any actions, habits, traits and thoughts you would embody to achieve the mission.

 

Your mission is to die of natural causes as quickly as possible. Imagine it were a race where the person to die first wins.

 

What actions, habits, traits and thoughts would you do everyday to win the race and achieve the mission?

 

I imagine your list may be similar mine in many ways;
Eat only takeaways and snacks like chocolate, crisps, sweets etc
Drink only sugary drinks and alcohol everyday
Sleep as little possible
Move as little as humanly possible
Chain smoke every waking hour
Think sad, depressing thoughts
Get zero sunlight exposure
Speak to nobody
Consume only negative content 

Etc,

 

Now you know what not to do. I want you to make a second list. This time an “uno-reverse” of your previous list.

 

Your mission; To live as long and fulfilled as humanly possible. Start by reversing your previous list For example;

Eat only natural, organic and non processed foods 2-3x per day in line with caloric,macro and micronutrient goals
Drink only water
Have 8 hours of deep, rejuvenating sleep
Etc etc
