“If not now, when?” is the title of a famous WW2 Novel often referenced in Team Peak meetings.

The ideology that there is a “Right time to act” and if that's not now then we must delay action until that point is not supported by our team.

We believe there is never a perfect time to act, that there is always a barrier or obstacle to overcome no matter the timing.

Yet despite that obstacle the best time to act is in fact now.

We believe if it is important to you enough then you shouldn’t wait. For everyday you wait, you have deprived yourself of happiness in an attempt to find the perfect time.

“Health is our greatest wealth” is a very common phase, yet how often is it embodied?

We all hear far too often that a person’s health has been negatively affected because of their less than ideal circumstances, Christmas, holidays and weddings to name a few.

If we truly embodied “health is our greatest wealth”  we would not delay action and if any obstacle were to come in our way we would act immediately to overcome it.

This does not only apply to health, but also to anything important to us.

Our own happiness, our financial wealth and our families to name a few.

At the centre of this belief I believe is another key mindset shift.

The difference between a “And” mindset and an “Or” mindset.

How some people set to have this AND this, vs this or this.

Many of us are taught at a young age it’s this or this “You can have cereal or toast for breakfast, not both”, “You can pick one treat to have not two”.

We believe this taught “Or” mentality then transfers to our adults lives.

You can either work hard or spend time with the family

You can either have kids or go traveling
Or to use examples we see every week;

You can either work a physical job OR have a healthy spine.

You can either exercise OR relax.

You can either work a desk based job OR have good posture.

Why not both?

By switching from an OR mentality to an AND mentality the ideology of a “Perfect time if i wait till..” no longer exists.

As you’ve realised you can do both, you can have both at the same time. It’s no longer a conversation of this or that.
