Steve came in to see us with a genuinely long-standing, 40-year history of back pain that would flare up unpredictably, on and off, throughout that entire time, triggered by something as simple and ordinary as putting on his shoes, and before he came to see us, one particular flare-up had left him completely bed-bound for 3 days.
When his symptoms had eventually settled, Steve took a genuinely proactive approach and decided to get something done about it, so that he wouldn't have to face an episode like that again in future.
In the time since, the discomfort he had carried for 40 years has gone entirely, and he now fully intends to live to 100.
Thank you, Steve, for being so proactive about your own health and wellbeing!

Our clinician first met Steve at the Manifold show, where he decided he was genuinely interested in booking him and his wife in for an initial consultation.
At his latest progress visit, he reflected on how it's honestly been one of the best decisions he's made in recent years, noting that he's not only improved his physical health, but also his mental resilience.
He's an avid runner and cyclist, and continues to hit personal bests. His recovery has improved, he gets fewer injuries and niggles, and in general just feels better than he has in years.

Simon initially sought care for pain in both knees, hands, wrists, and his left ankle.
Now, just eight sessions from completing his 36-session care plan, he's been pain-free for weeks. This newfound freedom allows him to play with his seven-year-old son and has let him tackle several large garden projects with ease.
Receiving adjustments twice weekly, Simon has progressed early to Chapter 2 with our myofascial team, due to his body's excellent response.
His weight distribution is now more balanced, his range of motion in his upper body is fully restored, and he now completes tasks without needing recovery time, significantly enhancing his overall health and vitality.

Our clinician and Sheila have been working together for a considerable while now.
Sheila had always had occasional care on and off for a number of years, but it genuinely wasn't until she started working with the clinician that she actually had a regular, structured plan in place. Recently, Sheila and some friends walked the entire boundary of the Peak District together.
Despite multiple injuries in the past, Sheila doesn't let any of that stop her, and genuinely loves to keep pushing her body and doing what she can to look after it.

At Peak, we're committed to changing lives through expert, tailored care, and Sarah's progress is a genuinely great example of that. She's nearly finished Chapter 1 of her care plan, and is already moving into Chapter 2 ahead of schedule, with real improvements in her overall health and how her body functions.
Sarah first came to us with 25 areas of muscle weakness across her upper and lower body, which were contributing to chronic pain in her knees, low back, hips, neck, and shoulders. Through targeted work, she has rebuilt strong muscle activation while lying, sitting, and standing. Since different positions put different stress on the body, weak muscles can affect how well it functions overall. By making sure her muscles are strong in every position, we've helped her manage daily life with far greater ease. She now walks over 5 miles, drives long distances, and gardens without the chronic pain that used to hold her back for years, alongside better weight distribution, flexibility, and grip strength.
Having responded so well to care, Sarah is now moving into Chapter 2, where our myofascial team will work on releasing soft tissue restrictions and improving her flexibility further. Combined with ongoing adjustments, this approach is helping Sarah reach her personal goals and stay strong and active as she heads into her 60s.
We're proud to support Sarah on her path to a healthier, more active life, and can't wait to see her continued progress.

Rebecca came in to see the clinician struggling with her eyes and vision, having genuinely significant problems focusing her eyes as well as looking downward, something that affected practically every aspect of her life, meaning she was no longer able to walk down the road without experiencing dizziness, and found herself unable to live the life she actually wanted.
This meant she was unable to work, and spent a considerable length of time going back and forth trying to get her life back on track, and having already seen GPs and a physiotherapist, she remained unable to find anyone who could genuinely help her.
In the time since starting care, Rebecca is now reaching her daily step count, attending the gym three or more times a week, as well as caring for her mother on top of all that! Well done, Rebecca!

Nisbert had been dealing with low back pain that meant he had to play in goal rather than out on the field in football, along with knee pain that affected his role as a carer, a job that keeps him on his feet all day and going up and down stairs throughout his 12-hour shifts, as well as right shoulder pain that limited his ability to do upper body exercises at the gym. He was also worried his health concerns would affect his ability to be active with his 10-year-old son.
At his first mini-progress visit within his 36-visit care plan, he was back playing on the field, increasing his days at the gym, and realised afterwards that he'd been jogging up and down the stairs at work without even thinking about it. Alongside this symptom relief, his lower body flexibility has already increased by 11cm, and his upper body flexibility by 5cm, on both the left and right side.
We're nearly a quarter of the way through Chapter 1 with him, and he's noticing very good results day to day, progressing well towards the goals he set out on Day 1.

Michael has been seeing me for a considerable while now. When he first came in, his flexibility genuinely wasn't the best, and he was around 30cm away from being able to touch his toes. Not long after starting care, he was involved in a car accident and broke his elbow, requiring surgery to fix it. With his upper limb flexibility badly affected and unable to bend or straighten his elbow at all, it took several months of dedicated work before he wasn't just able to straighten and flex his elbow again, but was also bench pressing 70kg, deadlifting over 150kg, and running 15 miles in 2 hours 45.
Alongside all this, he kept steadily working on his flexibility and getting closer to touching his toes, eventually reaching a point where he was just 13cm away. Some considerable time later, he touched his toes with his knees completely straight for the first time. Altogether, over his time in care, he has increased his flexibility by 30cm, and improved his bench, squat, and deadlift substantially.
Not wanting to simply settle for these achievements, Michael decided to push himself even further and set himself a genuine challenge to run his first ultra-marathon. He went on to run 52km in 7 hours and 9 minutes, on a day with record-breaking temperatures.

Marie came to us initially for a free spinal health check, after suffering from persistent back pain for a considerable length of time. She was genuinely unsure what to expect, but knew she couldn't continue living with that much discomfort indefinitely.
Within minutes of testing, we discovered a disc bulge in Marie's lumbar spine, and got her booked in for a full consultation to carry out more in-depth testing and create a proper plan.
In the time since, Marie has become almost completely pain-free, and is back to living her life as normal, without having to worry about any twinges or flare-ups.
Now we're planning for the future, to make sure she's got a bulletproof body and never has to worry about her back again!

Meet Linda, a vibrant 70-year-old equestrian who thrives on an active lifestyle — riding, gardening, walking, and staying on the move.
Recently, she faced challenges with hip, knee, and foot pain, alongside a spondylosis diagnosis in her neck. Unwilling to let these hurdles slow her down, Linda chose our holistic, non-medicated approach to care.
Just eight sessions into her 24-session plan, she's already experiencing significant relief. At her first progress check-in, Linda showed improved range of motion in her upper body and a 2% rise in oxygen saturation. More than just feeling and moving better, her nervous system is working more smoothly, supporting her overall well-being.
Linda's determination and progress inspire us, and we're excited to keep supporting her active, fulfilling life!

It's always a genuine treat when our clients bring their fur babies along with them, and this particular one is a proper baby, since Liam brought in his brand new 9-week-old cavapoo, Olive, to meet everyone.
She had a thorough sniff around the room while Liam was getting adjusted, and I made sure to tread especially carefully, since she's tiny, but remarkably fast!

Katy is a fantastic example of what can genuinely happen when you're willing to put the effort in, and it shows clearly in everything she has achieved so far.
It takes Katy around an hour each way to get to the clinic to see the clinician, and even after her progress visit, she decided to continue attending twice a week, since she's so pleased with the progress she has made.
We all lead undeniably busy lives, and if you want something badly enough, you'll find a way to make it work.
